
The 11th Judicial District Recovery Court is comprised of Crawford, Cherokee, and Labette Counties in rural Southeast Kansas. This district is uniquely positioned near three of the busiest highways in the Midwest, making it the only rural, multi-county judicial district in the region where all counties are designated High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA).
Residents of the 11th Judicial District face a number of challenges. Poverty rates in the district are significantly higher than the Kansas state average, and many individuals lack access to essential support systems such as transitional housing, clothing, food, healthcare, transportation, education, and family support.

Recovery Court is a court-supervised, comprehensive program designed for non-violent offenders with substance use disorders. It provides participants with structure, accountability, and access to treatment and recovery resources.
